- First you need to know what your web presence looks like.
- Determine if you show up anywhere on the web
- Do you have a blog
- Do you connect with any social media
- How many websites do you have
- When you do a search can you find your company
- You need to sit down and come up with a list of things you do good at.
- Find out what has worked well in the past
- Now you need to decide where you want to be and what efforts you will put in to make it happen.
- Write down what your goals that you want to accomplish on the web.
- This could be as simple as getting to the Google 1st page.
- Do you want to at least just show up in your local business listings.
- How about placing ads
- What are your products or services you want to spotlight through that campaign
- What key words relate to your products or services
- Are these keywords in the list of words that people search for currently?
- You may need to do enough research to find out what it is people are looking for that is relative to your business, products and services.
- Do you have content on your website matching what it is you want to project?
- Does your HTML Code reflect the same story?
- Here are a few more questions you can ask yourself:
- Do you have a way to track your results?
- Do you have a process to track leads coming in from your web activity?
- What is your conversion rate?
- How much money do you want to spend?
- How long are you willing to wait to get the results you want?
- Now that you have thought about all of those things, do you have the ability to go any further?
- If not where do you turn? You will need to do some research to find someone or a service that can help you meet your goals.
